Process of making the head-piece
For the head-piece, I wanted to make a hat that has lace decorations and a veil over face. I used my fabric manipulation on the hat.
I draped and folded the lace fabric to make volume.
This is the finished version of my head-piece. The draped lace/chiffon looks like a big flower on the head. I also put lace mesh over it, so it can cover the face.

Process of making top garment
For the top piece, I cut a pattern of a basic bodice and divided into four pieces, to make the sweetheart pattern. For the fabric, I combined black satin, burgundy lace and chiffon. I put darts and also a zipper on the back.
These two pictures are the finished version of my top piece on a hanger.
Accessory Variations
As making the accessory piece, I was at first going to do a neckpiece that was motivated from the 17th century. But I thought if a make a big neckpiece, the shoulder part of my top garment wouldn't stand out at all :(
Therefore, I decided to make a headpiece instead. Here are the very first sketches of the headpiece.
I wanted to be derived from a specific era in the past, and combined with modernity.
